ISME Skillnet is establishing a three party cascade framework for the delivery of Marketing and PR training to SMEs. This framework will be in place for a period of up to two years.

Project Description

This programme is aimed at ensuring people completing the programme have a comprehensive grounding and a practical, implementable plan for successful marketing and PR in a SME. This should cover:

  • The marketing strategy and marketing communications plan for the businesses.
  • Product/service profiling and market segmentation.
  • Developing target personas. 
  • Developing marketing communications aimed at the key personas & segments. 
  • Developing the communications plan for advertising and media, and
  • External communications.

Suppliers are not restricted to the items in this description and should put forward a programme that enables participants to have an immediate impact in their organisation while building a strong command of all essential elements for a role in this discipline.

The typical targets for a programme like this will be staff in sales or marketing roles and business owners. 
It is expected that this will comprise six modules over three months. The module should be practical and strongly focused on adding immediate value to a SME. 

Business Requirements

The requirements are outlined in the attached documents below. 

Prospective suppliers can add additional elements that they see as relevant to the training brief. 

Key Risks, Constraints & Dependencies

The programme will be digitally delivered for now. It is possible classroom based modules will be run. 

The programme operators will be expected to promote and assist recruitment for this programme. 

It is envisaged that this programme will run between 4 and 8 times over a two year period. 

A cascade model will be used for this framework. Should an operator not meet quality expectations or be unavailable to deliver the programme, the next ranked provider will be provided with an opportunity to delivery the programme.

In the event of quality, capacity or other pertinent delivery related issues arising with all three providers, ISME Skillnet will revisit the market.
